COMMON QUESTIONS
Do I need rebar or wire mesh for a garage slab?
Both provide structural reinforcement — rebar offers more strength, wire mesh is more economical. For standard residential garages, wire mesh is typically sufficient. For heavier use or vehicles, we spec rebar. We'll recommend the right option for your load.
Can you set anchor bolts for my framing contractor?
Yes. We coordinate with your builder or framing contractor to place anchor bolts accurately in the slab. Bring us the plans and we'll handle the coordination.
How thick should a garage foundation be?
Standard residential garage slabs are 4 inches. For heavy equipment, commercial vehicles, or lifts, we recommend 5–6 inches with rebar. Your written quote will specify the thickness.
